Align Your Life With What Matters Most to You.

How many times have you committed life because you knew it was going to improve your wellbeing? You dove in headfirst to this change and nothing was going to stop you. You've sparked a new flame and at first, it is easy to stoke. You're excited about this much-needed change but when life "catches up", the motivation fades, the flame diminishes, and you slip back into your original ways.

When you implement change, you create a foreign environment in your daily life. More often than not, the changes you make don't initially mesh with all the other hard-wired habits & routines you currently have. You likely feel like you're pulling our attention away from others you care about, or putting off daily priorities to foster this new commitment.

When making a change, ask yourself; How do I align my life to include positive changes? And keep asking yourself. Every single day.

How do you ensure what matters most continues to matter most? New commitments are easily derailed by old habits if they are not given a place in your daily routine. Continually striving to be better can only happen if you become comfortable with abandoning what is holding you back. Authentic self-discovery takes tenacity and courage to change. Strive to create the environment you deserve and keep it in an eternal state of construction. By constant evaluation of what is most important to you, reinforce the desire to commit to the changes you are making.

Align your thoughts and goals with your identity. By framing your thoughts & self-identifying as the person you wish to be, you give yourself the liberty to make changes. You are laying the groundwork to make better decisions that align with becoming your best self. With a goal in mind, you can now determine the actions needed to facilitate growth towards your goal and slowly create small habits that move you closer.

As an example, let's say you've committed to eating healthier. By learning to identify as a person who eats vegetables and lean protein at every meal and staying true to this identity, you are already ensuring adequate amounts of vitamins and protein are in your diet to support a healthy lifestyle. By ensuring that this small step becomes a habit, you have made it part of who you are, and it is more likely to continually happen.

Concentrating your energy on small, positive changes to your habits will facilitate a chain reaction of positive change. By feeding the positive changes you are making with one tiny change at a time, you are empowering yourself and exposing yourself to exponential improvement.
